Ring markers are the simplest thing in knitting and the easiest to run out of. Slip one on the needle, keep knitting, and it sits there marking your raglan line or the start of the round without you having to think about it again. No clasp to catch the yarn, no pin to open by accident, nothing to snag as the stitches pass over.

The set comes in four sizes, so you're covered from fine sock needles right up to bulky. The small ones sit neatly on a 2.75 mm without sliding around; the large ones drop over a 10 mm without stretching. Each size has its own colour, which means you can also use them to mean different things: pink for the beginning of the round, green for decreases, blue for whatever the pattern throws at you next.

Made from smooth translucent resin with a rounded profile, light enough that they never drag on the fabric. Forty of them is enough for a full lace shawl, an all-over cable pattern, or simply enough to lose a few and not care.
